Reliance Foundation Hospital has added a new specialized centre, Jeevan, aimed at strengthening chronic disease management and daycare treatment services.
The facility was inaugurated by Nita M. Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, and is designed as an extension of the hospital to support patients requiring long-term and recurring therapies.
Jeevan offers a variety of services, including chemotherapy, dialysis, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, albumin infusions, and specialized daycare treatments. According to the hospital, the center is structured to provide coordinated care to patients suffering from chronic conditions that require repeated hospital visits and close clinical monitoring.
A key component of the new facility is a dedicated pediatric chemotherapy room. The room is designed exclusively for children undergoing cancer treatment, with infrastructure adapted to pediatric clinical needs. The hospital stated that the unit aims to support young patients through structured treatment pathways alongside emotional and family-centred care.
Beyond oncology services, Jeevan expands access to treatment for patients with chronic liver diseases through specialized albumin injection therapy. The center also supports people with haematological conditions such as sickle cell anemia and thalassemia major by offering specific transfusion services. Additionally, Jeevan offers sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related disorders.
By consolidating multiple chronic care services into a single facility, the hospital aims to reduce the logistical burden on patients and caregivers who would otherwise have to navigate different departments or repeat admissions. Integrated settings allow physicians to coordinate treatment plans more efficiently while maintaining continuity of care.
The center has been dedicated to the memory of Nita Ambani’s father, Shri Ravindrabhai Dalal. The launch also coincides with Dhirubhai H. Ambani’s birth anniversary on December 28.
Speaking at the launch, Nita Ambani said, “Jeevan represents a deeply significant milestone in our journey to make world-class healthcare accessible to all Indians. It reflects our belief that true healing goes beyond clinical excellence: it is care based on hope, dignity and respect for life.” He also highlighted the pediatric chemotherapy room as a personally significant aspect of the initiative.
