AIIMS tops all-India ranking for linking patients’ medical records | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been recognized as the top government healthcare facility in the ‘Linking Medical Records’ category under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), securing the 1st rank across India in medical record linking.The award was presented during the two-day ‘chintan shivir’ in Bhubaneswar, organized by the National Health Authority (NHA) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.AIIMS Bhubaneswar CEO Dr Ashutosh Biswas said the recognition reflects the institute’s leadership in advancing digital health initiatives aimed at seamless and citizen-centric healthcare delivery.He said the institute registered 42 lakh medical record links and generated 19 lakh Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) tokens as part of the ABDM implementation, improving patient convenience, enabling paperless workflows and strengthening continuity of care.Under ABDM, medical record linkage securely connects a patient’s digital medical records with their ABHA ID with the patient’s consent, official sources said.
