Kallakurichi: The consciousness of World Day of the Day of the spinal cord injury organized by the Association of Survivors of Lesions of the Spinal Mordia was indicated by the collector of the District, Mrs. Prasanth, near the police station of the city of Kallakurichi, on Friday.
The rally saw an active participation of people with disabilities and aimed to disseminate road safety awareness and highlight the life impact of spinal cord injuries.
Every year, on September 5 it is observed as World Empinal Media injury day to promote preventive measures and support those affected.
As part of the rally, brochures that transported road safety messages were distributed to the public. Key slogans included: “The helmet is a lifeguard”, “Wear safety belts”, “The speed is dangerous”, “does not drink and drive”, “an accident only takes a second, but it costs lives”, “avoids mobile phones while driving”, and “The injury of the spinal cord is a disability for life.”
The participants delivered these brochures to pedestrians and motorists, using battery wheelchairs, creating a strong public commitment. The rally began at the city police station and concluded at the crossing of Nankuneri Four Roads.
More than 100 people, including district members differently, the Office of Welfare, volunteers and representatives of the Shiba organization, joined the initiative. The district differently from the welfare officer of an Antonyraj and the president of Siba, K Karunakaran, were among those present.
