Bremen, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – Carson Kimball has traveled a long road since the night of August 30, 2024.
“I was in the field on Friday night and … as one last time in the field trying to take people,” he said.
Bremen High School’s field of Bremen School suffered a serious column injury that left it partially paralyzed, at least for the moment.
“I’m going to walk and that’s what I am thinking right now,” Kimball said.
Nine months later, he is accepting his diploma with an average of 4.0 grades.
“Carson had to work hard to stay on time,” said Randy Kimball, his father.
Kimball has been experiencing intense therapy and is paying off.
“To be honest, the rest of the year will only be a heterosexual rehabilitation. I do not give up until I walk and I know that God has a plan for it,” Kimball said.
In April, he defended his graduation photo for the first time from the injury.
“I will not lie, it has been difficult. It is an important transition to him for our family, but we have had a lot of community support,” said his father.
Despite its circumstances, Carson Kimball remains not only optimistic, but inspiring for his family, his classmates and the world.
