The Tragic Loss of Rajesh’s Mother Due to Spinal Cord Injury
In 1995, a tragic incident changed Rajesh Kumar’s life forever. His mother, Late Sita Devi, died due to a severe spinal cord injury. She fell from a bamboo stair while coming down from the roof, which caused a serious neck fracture. She was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital at Amritsar, but at that time, there was very limited treatment available for neck injuries. Sadly, she passed away within one day.
Rajesh Kumar was in the 10th class when this happened. Losing his mother at such a young age was very painful. He never forgot that moment, and it stayed in his heart forever.
After 12 years, Rajesh Kumar faced a similar situation when he also suffered a neck injury (C6–C7) in an accident. This connection made his journey more emotional and meaningful. Today, Rajesh Spinal Injury is not just a website—it is his mission to spread awareness, educate people, and help prevent such tragedies in other families.
