The strategic launch expands the procedure portfolio and strengthens the market position.
Mountain View, California, June 18, 2025 / Prnewswire / -Expanding Innovations ™ (EI), a rapid growth column company that specializes in expandable technology not based on screws, today announced the authorization of FDA 510 (K) of US of the company as it continues with its procedures -based procedures solutions.
The low profile modular construction offers column surgeons a flexible fixing solution for lateral and anterolateral lumbar mergers. The N-Gage ™ plate is combined exclusively with the Expandable Interbody X-Pac® LLIF cage system through a polyaxial coupler not based on screws. This first connection of its type simplifies the union of plaque to the cage and allows anatomical compliance to vertebral bodies, mitigating the limitations of rigid lumbar plates based on screw.
“This regulatory milestone not only reflects our continuous commitment to solve persistent challenges that exist in column surgery,” said Ron Sacher, executive and co -founder president. “It represents the first of the multiple future technologies that transitions in a product-based technology company to a full procedure solutions provider. N-Gage ™ unlocks new income opportunities and an end user value to complement our X-PAC® expandable technology platform not based on screws.”
On the expansion of innovations
Expanding Innovations ™ is a leader of emerging medical devices in expandable implants technology for column surgery. EI recognized the need to develop a next-generation expandable interbody cage platform that would mitigate the incidence of post-Oppse cage collapse and the sinking of the vertebral body. By increasing the challenge, IE developed a revolutionary expandable cage, not based on screws with which surgeons and patients can count. The expandable intermediate cages of X-PAC® replace the traditional internal implant drive screw with a patented mechanism of expansion of elevation and blocking that provides exceptional tactile feedback to the surgeon along the expansion of the implant and the robust blockade of the implant at the end of the expansion. With more than 15,000 implanted cages, the adoption of the surgeon and confidence in X-Pac expandable cage technology continue to grow throughout the United States. The expansion of innovations continues to innovate with important technological advances and the planned expansion of its X-PAC portfolio in 2026.
